The “Tighter” founding company was formed in 1982 as an engineering design centre and mechanical workshop servicing the construction and plastics industries.

The construction industry in Australia demanded sophistication and has become a world leader in many masonry and concrete products as well in parts for the pre-cast pile industry and for retaining walls.

Since 1987 Tighter has been a supplier in the piling and masonry industry. During most of these years the Company has been best known for its connectors joints and accessory for driven piles. However the last few years has seen rapid change within the Company.

Tighter Engineering International (TEI) is now a leading provider and is now able to offer a diverse range of systems capable of solving the most complex problems in connecting concrete elements below and above ground. We deliver world class projects and products on time, on budget and to our customers satisfaction.

Innovative design and new manufacturing methods such as the development of the NEW Millennium Connector, the TEI Erath Anchor System and new improved methods to meet exacting tolerances has made Tighter a leader in supporting the construction industry.

The NM Joints are as strong in bending, compression and tension as the pile itself. They allow speedy on-side extension of piles to form the necessary pile length.

The TEI Earth Anchor is a scientifically designed metal object attached to a cable or rod and driven into the ground. A load can be attached to this cable or rod to perform a work function
